SERVICES OFFERED
El Cajon Driving School provides five different related services
to the general public.
I. Our school trains adolescence from the age of 14 years and 11
months up to 18 years of age in the field of driver's training.
This training is given in two parts (A & B):
Part A: Provides 30 hours of classroom training for those under
the age of 18 wishing to obtain their driver's license. The course
includes subjects that will educate the beginning driver in obtaining
a driver's license and safety related subjects such as, what to
do at a scene of an accident, proper behavior when stopped by a
police officer, handling road rage, how to buy auto insurance, and
vehicle code laws on driving and alcohol, etc.
This driver's education program is offered in two forms: Form 1
Classroom Setting given in four eight?hour class sessions. Form
2 is a Home Study course offered either in paper book or CD ROM.
RETURN/CANCELLATION POLICY
Form 1: All fees paid for in advance and then later cancelled,
or the student fails to attend are refunded in full within 10 working
days. Under the following conditions:
Conditions
1. The check or credit card has been cleared or approved and credited
to our account.
2. All materials provided have been returned.
In order to receive a refund, students who have taken any portion
of the classes and wish a refund will be charged for those sessions
completed equaling approximately $20 per session. A $40 fee will
be charged if a DMV simultaneous enrollment slip has been issued.
If requested, a $20 fee will be charged for any transfer of records.
Form 2: In order to receive a refund, students who have ordered
and received a driver's education home study kit and request a refund
will be required to return the entire home study kit with the understanding
that no study time will be accredited towards the 30?hour DMV requirement.
A $40 fee will be charged if a DMV simultaneous enrollment slip
has been issued.
Part B: Provides the driver's education student with six hours
of actual behind-the-wheel training. This training is provided in
a company dual?controlled DMV approved vehicle. These lessons are
given privately (one?on?one training) in two?hour increments. The
student is instructed in proper techniques in turning, lane changing,
reversing and other basic maneuvers. They learn to develop proper
vision habits, space management skills, emergency procedures, etc.
RETURN/CANCELLATION POLICY
A student requesting a refund will receive such for those hours
not yet taken. The cost will be divided by six, which will equal
the hourly rate. A cancellation fee of $25 will be charged for each
driving lesson not cancelled within 12 hours of the scheduled lesson
date/time.
Conditions
1. Provided the check or credit card has been approved and credited
to our account.
2. All late fees have been paid, if any.
3. A $40 fee will be charged if a DMV simultaneous enrollment slip
was issued.
II. Our school provides services for adults (over 18) wishing to
learn to drive and/or obtain a driver's license. We provide these
services in three different ways.
a. We provide one?on?one training on how to understand the law,
and how to pass the DMV written test to obtain a learner's permit.
b. We provide one?on?one instruction on behind?the?wheel training.
This instruction is given by a DMV licensed instructor in a dual?controlled
vehicle. This training includes learning the basics, such as right
and left turns, backing and parking and other maneuvers, as well
as defensive driving, handling emergency procedures, and how to
properly inspect your vehicle. This course is geared to train the
adult student in not only how to pass a DMV drive test, but to be
mentally and emotionally able to handle different types of driving
situations.
c. Our school specializes in providing training for seniors who
have been required to be retested by the DMV. This training involves
writing letters to DMV Driver's Safety Division to obtain a special
permit, and providing letters to the DMV with the results of that
training. We also assist the student with DMV interviews, court
appearances and other documentation if needed.
RETURN/CANCELLATION POLICY
Any adult student who pays in advance and requests a refund, will
receive a refund for those lessons not yet taken. This refund will
be based on the normal hourly rate, and not on any discounted or
coupon rate.
Conditions
1. Provided the check or credit card has been approved and credited
to our account.
2. All cancellations fees have been paid.
3. All letters or special correspondence, and court appearances
have been paid in full.
REFUNDS WILL BE MADE BY COMPANY CHECK OR REVERSE CHARGE TO A CREDIT
ON YOUR CREDIT CARD.
III. COMMERCIAL SAFETY COURSES
Our school is one of the few driving schools in the nation that
has a commercial training division. This division specializes in
providing driver evaluation and training for entry level drivers,
and for employees who have had vehicular accidents. The training
is given both in the classroom and behind the wheel.
RETURN/CANCELLATION POLICY
This division of our company provides all driver's training in
advance of payment. A refund policy does not apply.
IV. DRIVER'S TRAINING TAPES AND CD SALES
El Cajon Driving School has available to its customers audio tapes
covering subjects such as:
a. Teaching Defensive Driving
b. How to Pass a Drive Test
c. Learning the Written Test
d. Defensive Driving for the Professional
e. Set of three tapes covering driver's training for the driving
instructor
f. Set of four tapes covering 30 hours of driver's education (classroom)
g. Teaching the New Driver (for teenage parents)
h. Mature Driver's Training Refresher Course (90 minutes)
RETURN/CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to the fact that these audio tapes can be copied, refunds are
given only if the tape has not been copied, is returned in the original
container within three working days.
V. SEMINAR COURSES
El Cajon Driving School provides specialized seminars on the subjects
of mature drivers, defensive driving, on the road emergency procedures,
and a variety of different courses for driving instructors.
RETURN/CANCELLATION POLICY
Seminars are paid for after the seminar has been given. Refund
policy does not apply.
